Fire Resilience

James Hardie® siding is made of noncombustible fibre cement and is an important factor in helping to harden your home against external fire. Unlike vinyl siding that melts and burns or wood siding that fuels a fire, Hardie® is designed to stand up to fire. It will not ignite when exposed to direct flame (noncombustible per ASTM E136, with zero flame spread per ASTM E84) and has a Class A fire rating.
