Durable vinyl windows

Vinyl windows are one of the most popular window choices among homeowners not only for their high quality but also for their affordability. They reduce utility bills by retaining heat in winter and keeping it out in summer. Vinyl doesn’t age as fast as other window materials, never has to be painted or stained and is easy to clean with soap and water.

Vinyl windows are available in various operating styles; slider, hung and casement being the most popular. Within these styles, there are many sizes available and often several colour choices. Options include internal grills which gives the look of individual panes of glass and brickmould which is an added exterior trim that acts like a picture frame.

Slider

Opens by sliding horizontally along a top and bottom track in the window frame. They have two sashes – one stationary and one that slides left or right. The operating sash is removable for easy cleaning.

Hung

Hung windows have a fixed sash ensuring an airtight seal for greatest efficiency and years of reliability. Available as single or double-hung. Single hung is one operable and one fixed sash. Double hung is two operable sashes.

Casement

Casement windows offer the simplicity of modern design with maximum ventilation. They are hinged on either side to allow the sash to open outward, left or right, in a swinging motion.

Awning

Compatible with many architectural styles, awning windows are often grouped with other window styles. Awning windows are hinged on top and swing open outward from the bottom.
